Case: Engine turned hinged with engraved figure of Henry Clay to one side with the name Clay beneath, Lady Justice engraved to the other side, coined band, American eagle and Great Seal engraving to cuvette, cuvette No.803

Footnotes

Born in 1777, Henry Clay had a highly distinguished career in American politics and became the 7th House Speaker and 9th Secretary of State under President John Quincy Adams. His skillful negotiations and drive led him to earn the monikers "The Great Compromiser" and "The Great Pacificator".
